Is it possible to make update progress indicator behave like Telerik?

Based on my experience , I think UpdateProcess is enough for your situation. We can remove the UpdateProgress to its target position when the ayscpostback starts by using $common.getLocation and $common.setLocation. Here isthe tread that you can reference to.

UpdateProgress generates a div on the client , so they are similar. If it is not you want , please feel free to let me know.
